Van daaruit wordt het gezin op 18 januari 1944 (transport XXIV/2) gedeporteerd naar Theresienstadt. Vader, moeder en dochter blijven in Theresienstadt, omdat de vader van de geïnterviewde door de nazi’s wordt geëxploiteerd als restaurator en kunstschilder. De geïnterviewde heeft zeer levendige herinneringen aan haar verblijf in Theresienstadt (met name aan haar teken- en cultuurlessen), de bevrijding door de Russen, de repatriëring en 'de ontvangst' in Nederland. * Het interview concentreert zich op het verblijf in Theresienstadt, maar ook het verblijf in kamp Westerbork komt aan de orde.
