        rico:scopeAndContent    "In juli 1940 belandt de geïnterviewde (Wenen, 1923) als jonge Oostenrijkse vluchteling - samen met zijn oudere broer - in Westerbork (toen nog vluchtelingenkamp). Als 'alte Lagerinsassen' worden de twee broers op 4 september 1944 naar Theresienstadt gedeporteerd (transport XXIV/7). Daar worden ze een paar weken later (28 september 1944) op de trein naar Auschwitz-Birkenau gezet. Van daaruit komen beiden terecht in Meuselwitz, een subkamp van Buchenwald. Wanneer in april 1945 de Amerikanen oprukken en de kampen moeten worden geëvacueerd, beginnen de broers met een avontuurlijke tocht via Graslitz en Speyer en belanden zo weer in Nederland. * Het interview gaat vooral over de herinneringen van de geïnterviewde aan Theresienstadt, maar ook over zijn herinneringen aan Westerbork, de ontmoeting met zijn geliefde (zie interview 11), zijn tijd met haar in Westerbork en Theresienstadt en de terugkomst in Nederland alwaar hij haar (zijn huidige vrouw) weer terugziet.
