Beide ouders waren lid van de NSB en kenden veel hooggeplaatste NSB-ers. Zelf werd ze in 1935 lid van de NSB. Na Dolle Dinsdag is ze naar Duitsland gevlucht en heeft ze daar een tijd rond gezworven. Na de bevrijding heeft ze in verschillende interneringskampen vastgezeten.
