Samen met zijn gezin, bestaande uit vader Arnold Tabak (geboren 15-04-1878 te Amsterdam), broer Henny Tabak (24-08-1926, Amsterdam) en moeder Klara Tabak - Polak (18-03-1888, Brielle), zou Salomon worden opgepakt en op 1 juni 1943 vanuit Kamp Westerbork naar Sobibor worden getransporteerd.
