This collection"includes documents about the establishment of ghettos in the county of Vilnius" (Galina Žirikova, Lietuvos centrinio valstybės archyvo fondai: holokausto Lietuvoje tyrimo šaltinis (The Collections of the State Archive of Lithuania: a Source of Research on the Holocaust in Lithuania), Vilnius: Valstybinis Vilniaus Gaono Žydų Muziejus, 2011, p. 12. Documents, correspondence, reports and announcements issued by local collaboration authorities concerning situation in the district and attitude toward local residents. Some files are about the establishing of the Vilnius ghetto and the ghettos in all counties (on 18 August 1941), and include instructions to compile lists of Jewish residents of every settlement, documents concerning confiscation of Jewish property (lists of belongings, lists of owners). Some files deal with attitude of local residents toward Jews. There are also documents concerning separation of the Jews in the county and forced labour (instructions about how to make Jews work more productive). There are also documents about confiscation of Jewish property, instructions issued by the collaboration authorities about how to handle with Jewish property.
