The file contains five circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from November and December 1963. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1171, no. 1167, no. 1166, no. 1164, and no. 1163. They mainly deal with recent court judgements on questions of restitution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures, various definitions of the term “Vertriebener” (expelled person), the regions which are retroactively seen as regions where Nazi persecution took place, and claims regarding the restitution for removals of household goods which belonged to Jewish Emigrants but were stored by carriers. The topics include: „Vertriebeneneigenschaft des Aussiedlers“, „Begriff des Vertriebenen ”, „Begriff der Wahrscheinlichkeit“, „Rückerstattung, Entziehung von bei Spediteuren lagerndem Umzugsgut“, „Vertreibungsgebiet“.
