The file contains six circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from July and August 1963. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1144, no. 1143, no. 1141, no. 1139, no. 1137, and no. 1136. They mainly deal with recent court judgements on questions of restitution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures, such as recent changes in the restitution law, a draft for a proxy, governmental publications on the Federal Restitution Law („Bundesentschädigungsgesetz”), but also on the costs of emigration and on cases of damages to the personal freedom.
