The file contains a typewritten extract of the first paragraph of the so-called “Verordnung gegen Gewaltverbrecher”, the “Decree against Perpetrators of Crimes of Violence”) enacted on December 5, 1939 and demanding the death penalty following the use of arms during various acts of violence. The decree is part of a series of decrees enacted shortly after the beginning of World War II, such as the so-called “Verordnung gegen Volksschädlinge” (“Decree against public enemies”) and the “Verordnung über außerordentliche Rundfunkmaßnahmen“ („Decree concerning extraordinary broadcasting measures”).
