Women in Germany
2 online resources (4, 80 pages)
The files contain information on the situation of women in Germany under the Nazi regime. The ideal woman in Nazi Germany worked at home. Her most important tasks were having children and taking care of the family and the household. Women who bore many children received honors by the state. However, the ideal did not always match reality as many women had to work because of the economic conditions in Germany. Furthermore, women played a role in the Nazi system and also had their own NSDAP organizations such as the"Bund Deutscher Mäde" or the"NS-Frauenschaf".
