Hedwig Courths-Mahler was a most prolific author of popular fiction. She was famous for her romance novels and formula-fiction which were estimated very lowly. She was a member and sponsor of the SS and a member of the Reich Chamber of Culture, although she did not always toe the Nazi party line. So later on she became an"undesirable autho" in the eyes of the Nazis -- (Wikipedia and Discover Lichtenberg)
