The file contains typewritten excerpts from books and journals published in Germany in the 1930s on the role of a national socialist framed women’s policy, both for internal and for foreign politics. The various documents deal with the establishment of the Women’s department (“Frauenamt”) headed by Gertrud Scholtz-Klink in 1934 and, the foundation of the “Ausländerdienst” aiming to counter the foreign public opinion on Nazi Women’s policies. Furthermore, the excerpts are on the exchange relationships between German Speaking Women who are living abroad and the Nazi Women’s organizations in Germany as well as on the relations between German national socialist Women’s associations and foreign Women groups, especially from France and Finland. One excerpt is taken from an English-speaking study on “Nazi Germany – Its Women and Family Life” by Clifford Kirkpatrick, published by The Bobbs-Merrill Company, Indianapolis [1938].
