The file deals with an article written by Wendel Wood of the World Jewry magazine published in London about the Jewish boycott of German businesses and steps to reconcile with Nazi Germany in 1934. Correspondence of the German Embassy in London with the Foreign Ministry in Berlin is included. It summarizes a meeting with Mr. Wood, who proposed steps necessary to remove the boycott measures. He asked for a major German government representative to guarantee Jews a peaceful existences in Germany. Upon request by the embassy on how to proceed, the Ministry in a letter signed by foreign minister von Neurath flatly refuses any such considerations under present circumstances. It argues that concessions can only be given from a position of strength, and not under pressure. A copy of the World Jewry journal from September 21, 1934 is included.
