The file is the continuation of Prof. Max Apt's paper on the history of the diaspora and Jewish influence on society."The diaspora in the New Worl" is a chapter on Jewish life in North America beginning in 1654. He extensively quotes Werner Sombart and lists emigration numbers of Jews in America. He finds that Antisemitism mainly started after the great influx of orthodox Jews from Eastern Europe. He also includes an exchange of letters between the King of Saudi Arabia and President Roosevelt from Oct. 1945 about the danger to peace by establishing a Jewish state in Palestine. The next chapter deals with the"Idea of a Jewish State in Palestin" starting with Theodor Herzl and Zionism. He quotes the Balfour declaration, the White paper, the Peel report as well as extracts from the diary of Prime Minister Asquith.
