The file contains five circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) ranging between February and May 1968. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1538, no. 1555, no. 1554, no. 1553, and no. 1537. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations and proceedings for claims within the Federal law for restitution („Bundesentschädigungsgesetz”), damages to property following Nazi persecution, life in hiding or under a different identity during Nazi persecution, and claims for refund.
