The file contains two circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from August 1974. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1861, no. 1860. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures concerning the problematic question of linguistic verifications of the German language for people who suffered Nazi persecution during childhood, and regarding the paragraph 206a of the Federal Restitution Law (Bundesentschädigungsgesetz, BEG).
