The file contains six circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) ranging between June and August 1974. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1859, no. 1858, no. 1857, no. 1856, no. 1855, and no. 1854. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures for professional damages and health damages following Nazi persecution, for pensions, but also on the juridical case of an escape from the advancing German Wehrmacht within the Soviet Union, and the so-called “Waldenburgfälle”.
