The file contains six circulars (“Rundschreiben”) by the United Restitution Organization (Frankfurt) from May and June 1974. The circulars include the following issues: no. 1853, no. 1852, no. 1851, no. 1850, no. 1849, and no. 1848. They mainly deal with recent court judgements made by the German Federal Court (Bundesgerichtshof) on questions of restitution after Nazi persecution, especially regarding juridical regulations and procedures for health damages following Nazi persecution, for pensions, but also on the juridical case of an escape from the advancing German Wehrmacht within the Soviet Union, and on the paragraph 150 of the Federal Restitution Law (Bundesentschädigungsgesetz, BEG). The topics include: „Zweitbescheid – Gesundheitsschäden“, „Kürzung der Lebensschadens-Witwenrente“, „ Rußlandfall/Verweigerung der Wiedereinsetzung/ Beschluß des BGH vom 21.
