The “Connecticut Inter-Racial Commission” had been established one year before when Governor Raymond E. Baldwin appointed ten members of the Commission, among them Rabbi Morris Silverman as Deputy-Chairman. One year later, its chairman, Walter H. Gray, the Suffragan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, presents the first results of its work to the Governor.
