The file contains the verdicts against 4 Polish men and women: Franz Panczak (born on 3 June 1908 in Ludwigsmühle), Stanislaus Sokowicz (born on 27 April 1891 in Niedervorwerk) and their wives Kasimiera Paneczak (born on 1 March 1911 in Gutehoffnung) and Pelagia Sokowicz (born on 23 November 1899 in Schützenau). The defendant Franz Panczak took part in a riot that threatened two men of German descent. They suspected the two men to be German spies. Panczak, who was armed, led a group that arrested and verbally and physically attacked the two men. Stanislaus Sokowicz participated in the same riot and and took part in the arrest of one of the men. For having an important role in the crime Panczak was sentenced to death. Sokowicz merely arrested one of the men but did not harm him further. Therefore, he received a sentence of 3 years of penitentiary. Their wives, Kasimiera Paneczak and Pelagia Sokowicz, were both accused of having been a part of the riot and having insulted and spat on the two men. The women denied the accusations and were ultimately acquitted of the charge due to a lack of evidence. The file also contains pages which report on the rejected amnesty and the execution of Panczak. Panczak was executed in February of 1942.
