The file contains the verdicts of three men from the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The three men are Johann Navratil (born on 15 July 1915 in Smilow), Karl Vošoust (born in 16 August 1909 in Klamosch) and Zdeněk Jehlička (born on 30 September 1922 in Eisenstadtl). In 1943 Navratil built his own radio receiver and started listening to British news broadcasted in Czech. Furthermore, he provided other people such as Jehlička with the tools to allow radios to receive foreign radio broadcasts. However, Jehlička failed to receive these broadcasts several times. Karl Vošoust was accused of having listened to English radio stations with Navratil about 8-10 times. Due to a lack of evidence he was aquitted of the charge. The defendant Jehlička was found guilty of having tried to repair a radio in order to listen to foreign broadcasts and was sentenced to four years of penitentiary. Karl Vošoust was found guilty of listening and spreading foreign radio news and helping others to receive them as well. He was sentenced to death in 1944.
