rico:scopeAndContent "The file contains several documents concerning Jews in Slovakia between 1933 and 1938. The Jewish Question in Slovakia, according to the document, has to be solved not only because of the nationalist German ideology, but also because Germany can not afford regarding economic and political reasons that Jews are working and living at the borders of the Reich and within undermining the economical growth of Slovakia. In the Slovakia, which has concluded a protection treaty with the German Reich to safeguard its interests, Jews are still in business life and thus have connections to the state leadership. As the anti-Semitic propaganda document describes, the power positions of Jews in Slovakia must be ended so that the Slovaks can free themselves from the Jewish-disturbing element. Further propaganda publications explain how Slovakia has to liberate itself from the Jews, how aryanization and confiscation of Jewish capital can initiate important reforms. A table illustrates the professions of Jews in Slovakia, it shows that 70 percent of all Jews in Slovakia are employed in industry, trade and finance."@en ;
