The Polish man was ordered to deliver a donation to a clothing collection in June 1942. The defendant was accused of having stolen a vest and two hats from the donation. The punishment for such a theft was especially harsh as these clothing collections were considered very important for the war. Michalski was found guilty and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out by beheading in 1942."@en ;
