rico:scopeAndContent "The file contains several reports regarding anti-Jewish legislation in National Socialist Germany, from 1933-1941, including outstanding political events and non-official actions and reactions. The reports are devided into chapters based on the dates of the events like a timetable, additive bibliographies and explanation notes are attached. It starts on January 30th 1933 when the 'Führer became Reich Chancellor, February 17th the Reichstag was on fire. The report continues in detail how the anti-Jewish legislation continued. For instance in March the first Jewish-own departement stores picketed by Storm Troopers (SA), carrying anti-Jewish placards. Also new government decrees were announced so that Jewish children in schools had to be seated apart and in June 1933 the expulsion of Jewish professionals begun. With the 'Anschluss' in March 1938, a new period of intensified anti-Jewish persecutions and measures commenced, steadily increasing and leading up to the great Progrom of November 1938. After the outbreak of the war speacial restrictions on Jews, with regard on food, clothing and heating, the introduction of compulsary labour for man, women and children, were some of the more conspicuous measures during the first 18 month of the war. In February 1940 mass deportation of Jews took place and the individual emigration has been stopped."@en ;
