The file contains several reports, newspaper cuttings, pamphlets and booklets all regarding the persecutions of Jews in Germany and Upper-Silesia in 1936 and 1937. One booklet is regarding an exibition called"Der ewige Jud" (The eternal Jew), discribing the paintings, art and exibits from the correspondent exibition. The exibition displayed at the library of the German museum in Munich from 8 November 1937 to 31 January 1938. The actual displays, with photographs and caricatures, focused on antisemitic canards in presenting the Jewish supposed attempts at 'bolshevising' Nazi Germany. Also letters from the Jewish Information Office are attached, which inform about the needs of the Jewish population in winter 1936/37 and ask for help or donation of Haavara Marks. Furthermore pamphlets reagarding the use of Haavara Marks can be seen. An other report is informing about the inner situation in Germany based on the opinion of the German nation towards its National Socialist government. An other one is explaining the economic destruction of the Jews within the German economy. In addition reports regarding the days of terror for the Upper-Silesian Jewish community are contained. Boycotts and outrage of Jewish businessese, shops had been ransacked and show-windows smashed and violations of synagogues have been reported. The heavy troubles that broke out in Upper-Silesia were decidedly prepared by a series of essays of the Nürnber"Stürme" containing the rudest abuse and slander of the Upper-Silesian Jews, especially owners of businesses.
