The file contains several scripts written by Paul Anderson for the Norddeutschen Rundfunk (NDR). Since 1948, he regularly provided political commentary for the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), for which he eventually became head of the program"Aus der Alten Wel". In this file scripts of the show"Wie geht es ihnen, Herr Nachba" are attached. The first of this episodes was broadcasted in Hamburg, 7th April 1965. It is about Karl Sjoelund, a Swedish painter, but at the first look he seemed more German than Swedish. This is what the show is about, getting to know your neighbors. In this case it is about a normal working class family in Sweden. Peter Peterson, the pseudonym of Paul Anderson, was traveling around Europe and interviewed several working class families to introduce the neighbours to the German society. Anderson discribes their homes, their lifes, their living condition and everything which would be interesting for the German society. But everything is presented in a very friendly, amicable way. Anderson did not infiltrade strangers homes but was more like an friendly observer who took what the people offered him. The same style of script can be read about a Norwegian mechanic in the second episode of 'our neighbors' and about James Donald McCreedy, a Irish aircraft mechanic, of the third episode. Other scripts about families in Spain, in France and in Serbia are attached.
