Clippings from The Observer, many of them written by Paul Anderson, some anonymously signed 'Observer Correspondent', focused mainly on the elections in France and the post-war economic situation, especially in winter. Articles deal with solution to a coal deficit, food deficit and the reestablishment of industry in France, POW labor, and political discontent. Articles touch on the popularity of British rule in Germany and the formation of a new cabinet in France. Additionally, thre are several letters and invitations issued to foreign correspondents from the Press Service.
