The file contains several letters of a correspondence between Jewish family members and friends concerning the immigration to Great Britain. In the letters informations have been exchanged, ideas have been discussed and requests, as well as help, have been declaimed. The correspondence regards furthermore questions of payment, workhours, new or better work positions, living conditions and asking general questions about problems of the refugees. All letters are written in 1939, some are handwritten and others are typed, most of the letters are in German and only a couple in English. Furthermore letters to and from the German Jewish Aid Committee in London and couple of other Refugee organizations, like the British Committee for Refugees from Czecho-Slovakia and the York Refugee Committee are attached. Several organizations tried to save as many Jews as possible by the use of trainee and work visa for Great Britain. Through these organizations a lot of Jewish refugees from Germany and from the occupied territories could fled and found work in Great Britain.
