"The file contains postcards, reports and letters about Paul Tiocca written in English, French and German. Mr. Paul Tiocca, from France, had a correspondence with those institutions regarding his residence permission in Great Britain, as well as to obtain employment. He came to England in 1940, because of the invasion by the Nazis and occupation of the nothern zone of France. He and his wife wanted to stay permanent in England, but for that his wife needed a visa. Paul Tiocca came at the disposal of General de Gaulle, he saw it as his duty to follow De Gaulle and fight for his ideal, but unfortunately he could not get employed or be for any use for De Gaulle or his organisation. Furthermore all his property was confiscated by the Nazis in France, so a return for him appeared to be difficult."@eng . . "[Correspondence regarding Paul Tiocca]"@eng . .
