rico:scopeAndContent "The file contains a correspondence between Kurt Singer, chair of the Jüdischer Kulturbund (Cultural Federation of German Jews), with groups and members of the Jewish community, as well as with Nazi authorities like Hans Hinkel. The Kulturbund was one of the most famous examples of Jewish creativity in response to cultural exclusion. It provided a semblance of leisure for its 70,000 members in forty-nine different locals. Further correspondences regarding cooperational work with the Jewish gymnastics and sports club are attached. Also other sport groups correspond with Kurt Singer because of cooperational work. A correspondence with a lawyer named Martin Exiner regarding problems with the use and the rent of a bowling alley can be seen.
