rico:scopeAndContent "The file contains the original correspondence between Hans Hinkel, the Reich Minister for the People's Enlightenment and Propaganda and Kurt Singer, president of the the Jüdischer Kulturbund in Berlin (KBDJ, Jewish Cultural Association). Kurt Singer and several friends set up the Jewish Cultural Association in Berlin, to provide employment for Jewish artists persecuted and fired from their previous work, and give Jewish people access to culture. Hans Hinkel was responsible as a special commissioner for\"cultural particular\", his work consisted of, among other things, approving events staged by the Cultural Federation of German Jews on a case-by-case basis. The correspondence is about the activities of the KBDJ, for example theatrical performance, engagement of the actors and other things. Questions like local branches in other cities, leasing of theaters, employment of 'aryan' musicians and many more have been discussed."@en ;
