Letters of Dr. Ernst Ulman, a lawyer from Vienna, who lived with his sick wife and his son in Poland and decided to flee. The files contains a short introduction in Dr. Ulman and three transcriptions of letter of Dr. Ulman and one of them in original handwriting. Dr. Ulman writes the letters to his son who is supposed to geth them on his 14th birthday in 1952. The first letter from 1941, sent from Opole is a kind of confession explaining the decission to flee. In the second letterfreom 1942, sent from Sandomierz, he describes how they fled to Vienna, where he asked the authorities to let his wife and son stay. he himself was sent to Cracow. Then his wife and son were about to be deported to Poland but his wife tried to kill herself and survived and they stayed in Vienna. The third letter from 1942 from Sandomierz is a goodbye letter.
