The file contains a report concerning informations about women's work in Germany in 1939, the document is delivered by the Anglo - German information service. The content is a speech made by Frau Gertrud Scholz-Klink, leader of the German Women's Organization, at the dinner given by the Anglo-German fellowship in London. Mrs. Scholz-Klink points out that it is an honour for her to speak infront of this audience and that she may give an opportunity of getting to know the woman who, in the opinion of various international journalists, is the leader of the most oppressed women in the world. She uses her speech to demonstrate her audience and the international press the actual position of the women in Germany in contrast to the alleged oppressed women shown in the press. For her there is not only a national renaissance but also no differences of the sexes. Furthermore she gave examples as German women primarily need to take care of women, which means there are a lot of courses, schools and possibilities for women to fulfill themselfs.
