When the deportation begun Jews were allowed to take one suitcase with them, which mostly never arrived. All their other properties and belongings had to be left behind and were confiscated by the Nazis. During their transport to Piaski ghetto a lot of Jews died and the one who survived the transport had to live in miserable condition in the ghettos."@en ;
