"The file contains correspondences of several people and organizations concerning the news coverage and press releases regarding the Bern trial. These reports and press releases in 1935 were rather criticized by the plaintiffs, but were never the less collected to plan and discuss further steps. Entire boxes of collected press materials were forwarded and copies sent away or distributed. The article by Karl Wick, for example, has been discussed. Karl Wick, one of the leading thinkers of the Christian movement in Switzerland and of Catholic cultural policy, had already decided against National Socialism at a time when official Catholicism was not taking a clear stand. On the other hand, in his 1920 work The Judaism in Modern Culture, he took anti-Semitic and anti-Jewish positions, which are discussed in the presented letters. Also Marcel Bloch, member of the board of the SIG, and the Schweiz. Thora-Lehranstalt discussed in several letters the interference of various people in the Bern trial and the reports about it. Furthermore financial matters, like payments and loans are discussed."@eng . . "2 electronic resources (54 pages)"@eng . . . .
