The attached files contain the transcript of the fourth day (13.07.1934) of the"Grahamstown Tria". This case deals with a crude forgery by Harry Victor Inch (leader in the Eastern Province of the South African Grey Shirts Movement), of the Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion and a Jewish world conspiracy. The newspaper"Die Rappor" published a document (in an Afrikaans version on 6 April and in the original English version on 13 April) allegedly stolen by Mr. Inch from the Western Road Synagogue in Port Elizabeth. This fake document includes both a rather vague and a very detailed Jewish"Plan of Attac", which appears to be a record of an address delivered by the rabbi to the members of the local Jewish community. On the fourth day of trial testimonies were given by; John Edward Hargood (present at an event on 4 April 1934 on Feather Market Square in Port Elizabeth where Mr. von Moltke recited the forged document which was allegedly stolen from the Western Road Synagogue), Stephen John Moore (present at a similar meeting in Aberdeen on 27 March 1934), Ellis Charles Simpson (present at the aforementioned meeting in Aberdeen as well), Jacob Cohen (a Jew residing in the District of Aberdeen who was present at the event in Aberdeen out of curiosity), Alexander John Bingham (who received the parcels of newspapers of"The Repor" in which the forgery was published), Israel Silbert (a Teacher at the Hebrew School in Port Elizabeth), Nevil Mervyn Jefferies (who keeps record of the working hours of all employees in the Harbour Board among who is Mr. Inch), Edward Alexander Smith (a carpenter and a member of the Marxian Football Club), Mark Lazarus (a Jewish printer whose son is the secretary of the Marxian Football Club) and Barend Smulian (Mr. Levy's attorney. The witnesses were interrogated by both judge T.L. Graham and judge C. Gutsche and cross-examined by the defendants. This session's main focus was on the the procedure of the antisemitic meeting in Aberdeen on the 27 March 1934 and the possibility of the document being a forgery.
