rico:scopeAndContent "The file contains a Manuscript of Gorges Brunschvig, who was a Swiss lawyer and president of the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities (SIG). Internationally, he is best known for representing the plaintiff in the 1934–35\"Berne Tria\". Born in Bern to a family of Jewish horse traders, Brunschvig studied law at the University of Bern and passed the bar exam in 1933. In 1934, he founded a law firm on the Marktgasse in Bern. In this Manuscript he explains which kind of antisemitism he faced in his life. For example, another boy in elementary school did not want to walk beside him because he is Jewish, 14 years later, in 1931, his lieutenant made remarks about a Jew who unfortunately was sent to his troop. Furthermore, he speaks of how in 1927, during his studies, the influence of National Socialism spread throughout Switzerland. Till the end of his manuscript he talks about the Bern trial and the impact of the Protocols of the wise man of Zion both in Europe and in Argentina. He also makes it clear that antisemitism can not be traced only to the Protocols or was an outcome of those, but was also previously in the minds of the people."@en ;
