The file contains reports and newspaper cuttings from 1934. The file belongs to the Verfilmungsprojekt"Die Protokolle der Weisen von Zio" by the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich; Archiv für Zeitgeschichte; Zeitungsberichte von 1903 bis 1935. Several newspaper clippings from different newspapers are attached. Most of the clippings report on the forgery of the Protocols of the wise man of Zion. The Deutsche Freiheit Newspaper (New Freedom) for example, reports: 'For a long time, the Protocols have been recognized as one of the most blatant and damaging forgeries. Nevertheless, they are experiencing a new edition in Germany. And everywhere, where anti-Semitic propaganda is stirring, new editions appear.' Articles in French, German and English explain how the Nazis started to use the pamphlet of the Protocols again for their antisemitic purpose. Also the question of authenticity of the Protocols is asked again, even though the Times reported in 1921 about the forgery of the Protocols. Several newspapers quoted the results of the Times in order to ensure that everyone knows and understands the forgery of the Protocols. But German right-wing extremist newspapers plead for the authenticity and credibility of the Protocols and accuse all slanderers as liars. The Eiserne Besen and the Nationale Zeitung for example uses the Protocols to spread and reinforce their antisemitic views. Also Jewish newspapers in Switzerland report about the re-emergence of protocols in public.
