. . . "This file contains newspaper clips from several countries written in German and French. The clippings were published during November and December 1937 and deal with the court ruling of the second instance of the Bernese court. The Jewish Press Center reports on the 6th of Novemeber 1937, that the authenticity of the Protocols did not play a role in the court of appeal, in contrast to the first Bern trial of 1935. In the appeal court, the only question was whether or not the Protocols were covered by the law of trash literature (Schundliteratur). In the first trial of 1935 testimonies were heard and evidence presented to prove the falsification of the Protocols. The (second) verdict of the Higher Regional Court (Berner Obergericht), was the acquittal of the defendants without compensation. The accusation did not come within the scope of article 14 of the Bernese code on the prohibition of immoral literature (Schundliteratur), under which the appellants had been convicted. However, both Theodor Fischer and Silvio Schnell were sentenced to fines. As newspapers report, although the Jews allegedly dominate the entire world, influencing the press and governments, they could not prevent the Bernese high court from revoking its first verdict against the propagators of the Protocols in favor of the Nazi accused. Thus, the Jewish influence and the alleged judicial world would have failed miserably - which in turn confirms that all these conspiracy theories are nothing but nonsense. Also the German funds for the trial and the antisemitic propaganda during the trial are mentioned in several articles."@eng . . . . "1 electronic resource (32 pages)"@eng .
