Zensl first fled to Czechoslovakia and then to Russia, where she was arrested and sent to a camp in Siberia. Many of her letters to the author describing the abuse and torture of her husband and her desperation are reprinted. After her arrest she disappeared, and the author tried for many years to learn her fate. In 1949 he still searches for any sign of life of Zensl."@en ;
