The pamphlet gives a historic background of the von Moltke family and includes the last letters from Helmut James von Moltke. An overview of preparations and the main players of the conspiracy is provided. The initial plans focused on ways of governing Germany after a defeat instead of staging a coup, in order to avoid another “Dolchstosslegende” (stab in the back legend). The last letters written to Moltke’s wife are included. Names of co-conspirators are listed; but not exhaustive.
