Announcements to the population issued by Rumkowski in the Lodz Ghetto: Announcement Number 178, dated 12 December 1940, regarding the distribution of ration cards for food and bread Distribution of ration cards for food and bread will take place on 15 December 1940; all residents must remain at home on that day; work is canceled and the soup kitchens will remain closed. Only essential personnel such as physicians and policemen will be allowed to travel on the streets on the day of the distribution.
