בחטיבה תיעוד שנאסף בידי הוועדה הראשית לחקר פשעי הנאצים בפולין שפעלה בפולין לאחר מלחמת העולם השנייה.
הוועדה אספה תיעוד רב ממקורות שונים: תיעוד של משרדי הרשויות הגרמניים שעזבו את פולין עם נסיגת כוחות הצבא הגרמני, שלל ותיעוד אחר שנפלו לידי בעלות הברית. בנוסף לכך, אספה הוועדה בעצמה תיעוד רב בביקוריה באתרי רדיפה בפולין, קיבלה תיעוד מגורמים שונים כמו שאלונים שמולאו בנוגע לרדיפות יהודים.
הוועדה עסקה בהכנת משפטים נגד פושעי מלחמה ונצטבר תיעוד משפטי רב כגון, עדויות, חקירות ותיעוד משפטי אחר.
היא קיבלה גם תיעוד מבתי משפט עירוניים, בתי משפט אזוריים, בתי משפט מחוזיים ובית משפט העליון. כמו כן, קיבלה גם תיעוד על אודות חקירות שלא הגיעו לשלב המשפט - חומר חקירות של התביעה ברמות שונות.

In the Record Group there is documentation gathered by the Main Commission for Investigation of Crimes against the Polish People, which was active in Poland after World War II.
The Commission gathered much documentation from various sources: documentation from the offices of the German authorities that left Poland with the withdrawal of the Wehrmacht, as well as loot and documentation that came into the hands of the Allied forces. Additionally, the Commission itself gathered much documentation during its visits to persecution sites in Poland, and it received documentation from various bodies, for instance completed questionnaires regarding the persecution of the Jews.
The Commission dealt with the preparation of trials against war criminals and much legal documentation was accumulated, such as testimonies, interrogations, and other legal documentation. The commission also received documentation from municipal courts, regional courts, district courts and the Supreme Court. Additionally, the Commission received documentation regarding investigations that had not yet reached the stage necessary for going to court - material of investigations conducted by the prosecution on various levels."@en ;
