"The collection holds the records of the Pest District Royal Law Court, including the records of the civil court and the records of criminal court as well as land register records.\r\nVII.1. a. Presidential Records mostly hold organizational and administrative matters and personnel files\r\nVII.1. b. Records of lawsuits and out-of-court settlements from the years 1874-1944, which cover various aspects of the life of Jewish and non-Jewish citizens in Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County. This part of the collection holds civil lawsuits concerning various private law issues, including marriage and divorce, ownership, guardianship and adoption, bankruptcy and warrants, inheritance, testaments, salaries, contracts and other work-related cases, sales, lease and distribution of lands, etc. Several Jewish citizens can be found among the defendants, aggrieved parties and witnesses of the criminal court cases as well. From 1938 onwards, several cases are pertaining to offences connected to the regulations of Jewish laws and other anti-Jewish regulations and bureaucratic antisemitic practices, including cases of trade licenses, Strohman cases and examples of violation of the race-protection law.
