rico:scopeAndContent "The collection includes tracing cards that were created in order to establish a database on the labor servicemen who were deported to Bor, Serbia and from there to Nazi Germany in the fall or winter of 1944. The Bor camp consisted of a copper mind and ten subcamps whose inmates were forced to construct railways for their Nazi overlords. Hungarian Jewish labor servicemen were handed over to the Nazis or more specifically to the Organisation Todt already in 1943. By the summer of 1944 around 6 000 of them had to labor in Bor under the command of Ede Marányi. The camp was abandoned in September 1944 and the inmates were forced on long and deadly marches. Many of them were murdered during their journey. The forms in the collection contains personal data on them such as their names, places of birth, dates of birth, occupation, marital status, address and number of children. It also contains information on the story of the traced person during the Holocaust, such as the date of leaving for Bor, date of leaving Bor, name of the camps deported to in Nazi Germany, where and when he was last time seen, etc. In most of the cases, not all of this information is actually available. Another part of the collection, namely Box H 7/5 includes documents that historian Ágnes Ságvári compiled or created between 1944 and 1991. These documents include letters, research reports, documents on looting and questions of rehabilitation, on police actions and ghettoization as well as on questions of citizenship. "@en ;
