Hans Klee (1906-1959) was a Jewish-German-Swiss lawyer, politician and journalist. The lifelong Zionist had started his career as official in several Jewish organisations and as journalist of a Jewish magazine. Upon his emigration to Switzerland in 1934 he was committed to refugee aid. Later he was editor of the Israelitisches Wochenblatt für die Schweiz. Different views of Klee and Wiener on Jewish-German relations are illustrated throughout the correspondence.
