Reuben Ainsztein (1917-1981) was a British journalist of Jewish-Polish descent. Living in Belgium, he fled to Spain in 1940, where he was interned. Upon his release he got to England and joined the Royal Air Force. After the war he started a career as freelance journalist writing for Reuters, BBC, The Sunday Times, and also The Wiener Library’s Bulletin.
