rico:history "Prof. Dr. Ernst Fraenkel (1891-1971) was a German economist and historian of Jewish descent. A veteran of World War I he had been elected a representative in the provincial parliament of Silesia in the 1920s. In 1939 he fled to England but returned in 1947 already.
