He was a bank director in Germany and imprisoned in Dachau. When he was released he and his wife Gertrud (née Willstater) emigrated relatively early to England. Ludwig and Gertrude had one son Hans Carl Mayer. Hans married Annelie Wertheim (from Kassell in Germany) They had two sons Colin Peter Mayer and Steven David Mayer."@en ;
