rico:history "The Reichsjugendführung (Reich youth directorate) was founded in March 1933 to ensure that German youth were exposed to the Nazis' ideology. The Reichsjugendführer controlled the Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls. In fact no other youth organizations were tolerated under the Nazis.
The Reichsjugendführung was equivalent to a ministry and based on the Führerprinzip (the leadership principle) at the apex of which was Baldur von Shirach, 1933-1940, and Arthur Axmann thereafter, 1940-1945."@en ;
