Dazu sammelte sie Dokumente aus dem Leben der Familie Pfungst. Die jüdische Unternehmerfamilie war Eigentümer der Naxos-Union, einem der ersten Hersteller von Schleifmaschinen, und wurde während der NS-Zeit verfolgt. 1995 wurde Braachs Biographie über Marie Eleonore Pfungst vom Fritz Bauer Institut herausgegeben und die Unterlagen zur Erstellung der Biographie gingen anschließend an das Archiv des Instituts.\n\nDie Sammlung Familie Pfungst umfasst nach Erschließung, Entmetallisierung und Umbettung zwei Archiveinheiten mit einem Gesamtumfang von 0,15 lfd. m. Sie besaß keine innere Ordnung, so dass bei der Verzeichnung durch die Bearbeiterin Inga Steinhauser im Januar 2023 eine komplette Neuordnung geschaffen werden musste. Der Bestand setzt sich ausschließlich aus zusammengetragenen Dokumenten zur Familie Pfungst zusammen. Er umfasst einige Familienfotographien und kopierte Dokumente aus dem Leben der Familie, insbesondere von Marie Eleonore Pfungst. Weitere gesammelte Unterlagen betreffen das Unternehmen der Familie, die Naxos-Union, und die Dr. Arthur Pfungst-Stiftung.
